President Trump “Vetoes” Covid Legislation
Dec 23, 2020
In an unexpected move, President Trump has refused to sign the Covid legislation that Congress passed on Monday evening, instead asking Congress to amend it. This legislation contains the extension of both the alternative fuel credits and the oil spill tax. These provisions are not thought to be under threat from any changes that may be made to the legislation, however, unless the President signs the bill or Congress can get a veto proof majority, they may expire at the end of the year.
