Federal Oil Spill Tax Set to Expire December 31, 2020

The $0.09 per barrel federal oil spill tax is set to expire on December 31, 2020. To date there has been no legislation passed that would extend the tax. Congress is in a lame duck session and may take up tax extenders before the end of the year.
